Sterility Agents

Moving things around in the house, fixing the curtains, mopping the floor and scrubbing the bathroom will not necessarily guarantee home owners with superb cleanliness. There is more than meets the eye. The greatest enemy one may face are those that spatter the dishes, the sink, the toilet that are unseen having arsenal that attack the biological unit of life— the cell. I am referring to the microbial agents that lurk under the carpet or the moist towels. These are man’s greatest domestic enemy, and they come in millions with power they can wield to put up an attack against even the strongest man alive.

So, now that we know that our greatest enemies are not those that are seen with the naked eye, the next question would be how to put up a fight that would shake their whole arsenal to the core?

Here is a list of some of the most commonly used anti microbes that may inspire a fight against these common household microbes to prevent the incidence of diseases like typhoid fever, clostridium toxicity, food poisoning, common colds or the common upper respiratory tract infection. These diseases may not necessarily jerk a shock out of you but if neglected and not attended to properly may cost you hospital bills that really shock the bucks out of you.

1. Sodium Chloride – The infamous salt, yeah, the common table salt have more uses than has been known by home makers and cleaning agents at offices and homes. Contrary to what many believe, salt is not just used to add flavor to food but can be used to disinfect door knobs, handle bars, table tops and sinks. NaCl, otherwise known as salt, acts by drawing water out of cells of microorganisms, harmful ones at that, and disables the normal environment that allows them to reproduce. With salt, most of the water is sucked out from them, therefore, many microbes can no longer replicate. Thus, they undergo population reduction until they are completely obliterated and cannot cause harmful effects anymore. Simply, the salts that we used everyday can actually a little saving job from our tiny enemies.

2. Hydrogen Peroxide – A commonly used agent because of its anti microbial properties, hydrogen peroxide can be used to disinfect spoons, forks, goblets, glasses, plates and other household materials. It can also be used to address foul smell in the kitchen by mixing it with baking soda and a small amount of hand soap. It may also be used to clean appliances such as freezers or refrigerators to prevent foul smell. There are still a lot of other domestic uses but it suffices to know that hydrogen peroxide can be used domestically to address microbial problems commonly occurring in the home, especially the kitchen.
